J. Simon Ivey M.D.
Dr. Ivey has a passion for plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery and a strong desire to give patients the most expert care possible. He is one of the few plastic surgeons who has additional fellowship training beyond plastic surgery in aesthetic surgery of the face, pediatric, and craniofacial surgery.
He was educated in Philadelphia and after medical school at Drexel University he completed a full 5-year general surgery residency at Temple University Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Our AAAHC fully accredited operating room is cutting edge and has Tesla backup batteries in case of power outage. All of the same patient safety protocols as a surgery center are in place.
Procedures are performed under local, IV sedation, or general anesthesia with the help of our MD and CRNA anesthesia providers.

Are you interested in having plastic surgery and recovering in beautiful Maui ? Dr. Ivey’s practice is just a 10-15 minute drive from some of the most amazing resorts in Wailea. Many of our patients fly in to have surgery and recover in Maui. This allows Dr. Ivey to monitor your postoperative course and ensure that you will be ready to fly home afterward. Typically the whole process requires at minimum a week on Maui – depending on the procedure. Our patient coordinator and Dr. Ivey will walk you through the process that will include a preoperative virtual consultation, overnight nursing at your hotel (if required), and all of your postoperative care while on Maui. Recover in privacy at one of Maui’s many resorts.

SIGNATURE PROCEDURES
FACE & NECK
Dr. Ivey performs Mini face lifts, SMAS facelifts, necklifts with and without skin excision, deep plane neck and face lifts. The amount of definition in the neck is a matter of personal preference and at the consultation the goals of the operation will be discussed fully as well as 3D imaging and picture evaluation.
EYES AND BROW (BLEPHAROPLASTY)
Dr. Ivey performs a variety of upper and lower blepharoplasty techniques and brow lifting including endoscopic.
The goal is to restore the patient’s once beautiful features that may have been lost over time for a natural and non-operated appearance.
NOSE RESHAPING
The nose is often said to be the centerpiece of the face. It provides balance to the other facial features. In some cases it can be distracting and take away from the overall beauty of the face. Dr. Ivey performs cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose.
RECONSTRUCTIVE
Dr. Ivey is passionate about plastic surgery. Plastic surgery is comprised of both aesthetic surgery and reconstructive surgery. The lines that once divided aesthetic surgery from reconstructive surgery are no longer. A reconstructive surgery should always be grounded firmly in aesthetic principles – with normal anatomy or even more aesthetic anatomy as the goal. Aesthetic procedures are often reconstructive – what is beautiful is often what functions well.
BREAST AUGMENTATION
Many women desire to improve or enhance the appearance of their breasts. Some wish to have a more natural appearance and others desire a more augmented look.
During your consultation, Dr. Ivey will review the various options with you and use 3D Vectra imaging to make sure your goals are both realistic and safe. Breasts can be augmented with implants or by fat transfer by harvesting fat with liposuction from unwanted areas.
BODY CONTOURING
Liposuction is an excellent way to contour the face and body with minimal downtime. Liposuction can be performed in the neck, arms, back, waist and abdomen, flanks and bra line areas, & thighs. High definition liposuction refers to defining a patients natural anatomy further using liposuction.
